Michael Wilkos

Community Research and Grants Management Officer

Michael Wilkos is responsible for the research, development, and implementation of effective social investments that strengthen the community. Michael collaborates with community leaders to address issues and needs that can improve neighborhoods throughout central Ohio. In addition, he works with the Ingram-White Castle Foundation and Columbus Youth Foundation to support their goals and initiatives.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Michael served as Senior Impact Director for United Way of Central Ohio. He has also held positions with The Danter Company, Capitol South Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation, and the City of Columbus.

Active throughout the community, Michael currently serves on the board of the Council of Historic Neighborhoods, as well as the Franklin County Community Development Advisory Board. He also supports the Circles Guiding Coalition, an anti-poverty solutions group, as a volunteer.  


Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in geography and a master’s degree in city & regional planning, both from The Ohio State University.
