Steven Moore
Associate Director for Donor Relations and Regional Giving
Steven Moore focuses on working with donors and their professional advisors to identify their charitable goals through current and planned gifts to The Columbus Foundation. As lead staff for the Foundation’s Family Philanthropy Initiative, Steven works closely with families interested in creating focused giving plans.
Additionally, Steven plays a lead role in supporting and growing philanthropic activities beyond central Ohio. He serves as a liaison to the Pickaway County Community Foundation and other regional community foundations. Prior to his current position, Steven served as grants administrator for Huckleberry House, Inc. and was associate director of foundation relations at The Ohio State University. From 1997-1999 he was a community research and grants management officer for The Columbus Foundation.
Steven has been active in many professional and volunteer organizations, including the United Way of Central Ohio. He is a board member of the Ohio 4-H Foundation, commissioner for the Ohio Commission for Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management, a member of the Tri-County Estate Planning Council, and a member of the Advisory Committee on Citizenship Engagement at The Ohio State University John Glenn School of Public Affairs. Steven holds a bachelor of arts from Hampton University and a master in public administration from The Ohio State University.
