Program Information For Organizations
The Columbus Foundation's Summer Fellowship Program provides a limited number of college students the opportunity to work in Columbus-area nonprofit organizations during the summer months. All Fellows are required to work full-time as designated by their host organization. In addition, Fellows attend a weekly seminar highlighting key organizations and programs conducted in the local nonprofit and public sectors.
The term of the Fellowships will be from the week of June 14, 2010 through August 20, 2010.
Finalists will be interviewed by nonprofits during March and April 2010 for selection.
A stipend will be paid to Fellows through the nonprofit’s payroll system.
Eligilbility
Organizations should have been in operation for two full years;
Organizations must have a complete and up-to-date

Responsibilities
Develop or designate a specific program or project that the Fellow will be working on and the goals to be accomplished.
Appoint a senior staff member to serve as the Fellow’s supervisor.
Provide ample supervision, feedback, and support to the Fellow.
Provide meaningful work and learning experiences.
Provide a workspace and other resources (e.g., access to computer, reference materials, telephone) needed for the Fellow to complete work assignments.
Accept the Fellow as a temporary employee of your organization for the 10-week term of the Fellowship program. This includes distributing the Fellow stipend in accordance with your organization’s normal payroll procedures.
Participate in orientations, debriefings, and other activities of the Fellowship program.
