Nonprofit Endowment
There are many ways to meet the needs of our community. The Columbus Foundation offers several endowment-building solutions for nonprofit organizations serving our area. We are committed to helping local nonprofits build their endowments so that quality programs and services can continue for years to come.
Organizational Endowment Fund
With the growing need for services of nonprofit organizations and fewer sources of support, endowment-building has become critically important. Organizational Endowment Funds provide a safe, financially responsible outlet for protecting the economic future of a charity. More than 150 nonprofit organizations have created endowment funds through The Columbus Foundation.
Other options and philanthropic services available to nonprofits include:
- We can assist in negotiating and completing complex gifts of various assets. These include but are not limited to cash, appreciated securities, closely-held stock, real estate, life insurance, and gifts of qualified retirement plans.
- Estate planning plays an important role in building an endowment. The Foundation’s charitable gift annuity program, as well as the assistance of the Foundation’s planned giving professionals, are available to your organization as needed for your donors.
- Our resources and staff are here to help your organization grow, provide technical assistance, and promote your endowment fund.
- Gift acknowledgement services. All gifts received by the Foundation to your endowment fund are acknowledged within ten days of receipt.
