Grantmaking Focus
The Small Grants Program provides support for several areas that align with donor focus.
Applicants may apply for up to $25,000; however, the majority of the grants awarded will be $1,000
to $10,000. Details on each category and total funding available is found below:

Grant Application Requirements
Application deadlines are quarterly on the first Friday of January, April, July, and October
(unless otherwise noted). For specific dates, please consult the Foundation's events calendar. Applicants for the Small Grants Program must complete a two-page online grant application. PowerPhilanthropy portraits are not required for this funding. A copy of your
organization's annual audit may be requested. Please review the Foundation's audit requirement.
The Columbus Foundation asks all nonprofit organizations that receive funding to help promote the
vital role philanthropy plays in strengthening our community, and the importance of charitable
giving to your organization’s effort to carry out its mission.
Reporting Requirements
Final Reports are due 30 days following the end of the grant period.
