A 25-Hour Community Rally

The Big Give is our community's rally to lift up and help nonprofits. Through The Big Give, our community joins together to generously support the nonprofits that help make our region an amazing place to live. The needs of nonprofit organizations have never been greater as they work to serve and strengthen our community. During this 25-hour online giving event, your donation to one or more of the eligible nonprofits in The Giving Store will be boosted, thanks to a $1.5 million+ Bonus Pool provided by The Columbus Foundation and corporate and community partners, the largest in Big Give history! Further, all credit card fees will be covered by the Foundation, so 100 percent of your donations go to the nonprofit(s) of your choice.

Between 10:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, June 10 through 11:00 a.m. ET on Thursday, June 11, return to this page to search and give to your choice of 1,100+ nonprofits listed in The Giving Store.


Give securely using Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, or a major U.S. credit card with a minimum gift of $20. All credit card fees are covered during The Big Give, and each gift will be boosted on a pro rata basis thanks to a $1.5 MILLION+ BONUS POOL.

The Big Give is your opportunity to help your dollars go further to support your favorites causes!


Responding to COVID-19

This Big Give is like no other, and we are facing challenges never before seen in our lifetimes. Now is the time to join with us to help provide critical financial support to our area nonprofits during an unprecedented time of change and uncertainty. 

The Big Give was built on the premise that, by working together, we can achieve much more than we ever could alone. We look forward, especially in these times of greater need than ever, to joining with you and others in a way that will show the world the generous and caring and kind community we are.



In recognition of these perilous times, the Foundation has added new ways of giving to The Big Give. You’ll be able to donate directly to funds specifically for hospitality workers, individuals and families, or nonprofit organizations working on the frontlines of this crisis, as well as to any of the other eligible Giving Store nonprofit organizations.

Give to Service!, a community organization composed of restaurant industry professionals in Franklin County dedicated to providing relief for hospitality workers during this challenging time. The program identifies and utilizes resources to eliminate hunger among hospitality workers and their families.


The Columbus Foundation’s Gifts of Kindness is a community-focused fund that helps central Ohio individuals and families with emergency needs. Through Gifts of Kindness, The Columbus Foundation partners with local nonprofit agencies to provide an immediate financial boost to individuals and families, an especially critical need during the COVID-19 pandemic.


The Columbus Foundation’s Emergency Response Fund was activated to help Franklin County nonprofit organizations as they assist those in our community affected by the Coronavirus pandemic. Grants from the fund are already being deployed to help nonprofits in Franklin County support the most vulnerable in our community.


Nominate Your #BIGHeroes!

This year, our community members are stepping up in BIG ways to help one another, and we want to celebrate those who are making central Ohio a fantastic place to live through their kind and caring acts. BIG Heroes can be anyone—a healthcare worker, parent, teacher, neighbor—anyone who deserves a shout out for going above and beyond for others!


Now through June 3, submit a photo or video of your BIG Hero on Facebook or Instagram and a story about them through a creative social post. Tag us in your post and use the hashtags #biggive and #BIGHeroes. Ten #BIGHeroes will be selected to give a $1,000 grant to a local nonprofit of their choice in The Giving Store during The Big Give.




Quick Facts
  • The minimum credit card gift is $20 using Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, or a major U.S. credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express).
  • 100 percent of your donation goes to the eligible nonprofit(s) of your choice. All credit card fees will be covered by The Columbus Foundation, so 100 percent of your generous donation goes directly to the participating Giving Store nonprofits.
  • Columbus Foundation donors can suggest a grant (minimum of $100) through their Donor Advised Fund or Supporting Foundation.
  • Everyone making a donation will receive an email confirming receipt of their donation.
  • Donations, once made, cannot be rescinded.
#BIGHeroes Social Media Contest

Celebrate those who are going BIG for their family, friends, and neighbors during this challenging time! May 20 through June 3, nominate them for the #BIGHeroes social media contest! Ten Big Heroes will receive a $1,000 grant to donate to a nonprofit of their choice during The Big Give.

Is your nonprofit organization ready for The Big Give?
To participate in The Big Give, an organization must be a 501(c)(3) located in and serving Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Hocking, Licking, Madison, Morrow, Perry, Pickaway, or Union counties with a Directory Listing in The Giving Store.
