Celebrating a proud legacy of giving was at the core of a recent decision by the Greer Foundation, a Supporting Foundation of The Columbus Foundation, to give an extraordinary $1 million gift to help Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC) continue its mission to end hunger one nourishing meal at a time and co-create a community where everyone thrives.

The Columbus Foundation and its donors have a generous track record of supporting high performing schools—from start-up phase to scaling. A recent trio of grants will help three schools continue their growth and expand their footprints and student capacity.

On October 24, DFYF celebrated the grand opening of the new Crittenton Community Center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. In partnership with more than 20 nonprofits, the new center will offer services that address food insecurity, housing stability, workforce development, education, legal aid, mental health, support for seniors, youth programming, and more.

Thanks to unwavering support from the community, ADAMH is building the Franklin County Crisis Care Center, opening spring 2025, to provide person-centered mental health and addiction support with a full range of services for those in crisis.

The Columbus Foundation has invested in the neighborhood through numerous grants that support the arts, youth services, workforce development, housing, social connection, and more. This whole-neighborhood approach is designed to expand opportunity and improve the quality of life among individuals and families living on the Near East Side.
