The Davey Tree Family Scholarship assists students pursuing post-high school education with a focus on Urban Forestry, Arboriculture or Science and Landscape Technology.

The Healthcare Justice Scholarship benefits racial, ethnic, and cultural underrepresented populations pursuing careers in healthcare. The scholarship fund will increase opportunities; educate, train, and employ more individuals of a diverse background; and allow for more diverse perspectives in the healthcare field. The goal is to grow a diverse healthcare pipeline to improve health outcomes.

The Columbus Foundation is pleased to announce the 13 Summer Fellows selected for its 2024 Summer Fellowship Program.

The fund was created by the efforts of the Wehrle High School Community Education Association to support students attending Wehrle High School in Columbus’ south side. After the school closed, the Association redirected the funding to support students who would have attended Wehrle High School in pursuing a high school education in the Catholic tradition.

This scholarship was established by Terrence Larrimer to honor his grandfather, Thomas Larrimer (1879-1915), and his father, Richard Larrimer (1903-1987). Both men grew up and were educated in Washington Court House. When Thomas Larrimer died in a work related accident, Richard assumed responsibility for his own education and that of his two younger brothers. Richard Larrimer graduated from The Ohio State University Law School in 1925 and founded Larrimer & Larrimer, a Columbus law firm specializing in Worker's Compensation. Through this scholarship Terrence wishes to recognize his father's commitment to education and by focusing the scholarship on science and engineering, to emphasize the importance of these disciplines in our nation's future.

This fund is designated for Lancaster City Schools (Ohio) to make awards to an outstanding female freshman athlete scholar to participate in summer educational activities.

Burton Egbert Stevenson was born in Chillicothe, Ohio in 1872. He attended Princeton University from 1890-1893; during this time, he was a correspondent for United Press and the New York Tribune. He married Elizabeth Shepard Butler in 1895, their marriage lasting 65 years, and returned to Chillicothe, where he was the librarian for more than 60 years. During World War I, Mr. Stevenson was instrumental in efforts to connect soldiers to periodicals from their hometowns, and in establishing a library at Camp Sherman. He was also with the American Library in Paris, where he was the director from 1918-1920, and from 1925-1930. As an author and anthologist, Mr. Stevenson is credited with four young adult novels and 12 anthologies, along with more than 20 other books. As part of his legacy, Burton E. Stevenson created this endowment to “be devoted solely and entirely to the service of the under-privileged children of Ross County, Ohio…without discrimination as to race, sex, or religion, with the purpose of removing, or at least lessening, such handicaps as they may have started in life with, and to fit them, as far as it is possible to do so, to lead successful and happy lives.”

The fund provides scholarship awards to graduates for renewals or to graduating seniors from Knox Community High School (KCHS) in Knox, Indiana who plan to pursue a four-year college degree.

Family and friends established this scholarship in memory of Roberta Jones Booth for her love and support of her community. This scholarship will support students from the community of the Marion Franklin Civic Association boundaries.
